Redeeming gifts
I’m having trouble understanding all the numbers. What does it mean “Gifts bought online”? What does it mean “Vouchers issued”? What does it mean “Remaining list balance”?
Gifts bought online: Many of your guests will purchase or chip-in for your gift through the online Gift Registry. The total value of gifts purchased or chipped in for through the online Gift Registry is provided here. You can create voucher(s) from this total and use them to redeem your gifts at your local Borsheims store. Vouchers issued: If you have requested and received one or more Vouchers, their total will be shown under this heading. This is the total of the original issuance value of the Vouchers and does not account for any spent through those Vouchers. Remaining list balance: This is the difference between ‘Gifts bought online’ and ‘Vouchers Issued’ and with its value you can create a Voucher (i.e. some gifts have not yet been converted to Vouchers). Once you choose to create a Voucher and it is issued, the “remaining list balance” should change to zero (unless more gifts have been bought for you in the meantime!)
Can Vouchers be issued online through the Website?
YES, Vouchers can be issued through the Borsheims Gift Registry App (downloadable through the App Store or Google Play), Mobile web and website.
How do I know what Vouchers I have and how much each one is worth?
Vouchers will be listed at the bottom of the My Vouchers screen within the App. Each Voucher will show an original value and the remaining balance. To use the Voucher, select it and show it to the cashier when checking out at your local Borsheims store. Vouchers may show as pending for up to twenty-four (24) hours after purchase and are not available for use in store until approved.
I’m in the store and I just ordered a Voucher and it has not been issued yet?
Approving a Voucher can take up to twenty-four (24) hours. Please be sure to request the Voucher prior to visiting your local Borsheims store. If you need assistance accessing a Voucher, please send an email to: [email protected]. Please include the email address used for registry sign-up.
How do I use a Voucher when I check out?
During checkout, simply open the App, select the Voucher you wish to use from the bottom of the My Vouchers screen and show the cashier. The cashier will then manually enter the Voucher number and other details displayed.
Can I use more than one (1) Voucher at once?
Yes, multiple Vouchers can be used at the same time in store. During checkout, simply open the App, select the Voucher(s) you wish to use from the bottom of the My Vouchers screen and show them to the cashier one at a time. Note: Minimizing the number of Vouchers you request for a single store visit will expedite the checkout process. Please ensure that you request your Voucher(s) at least one (1) business day in advance of your store visit. Voucher requests made in person at Borsheims store, may not be fulfilled until the next business day.
How do I check my Voucher balance?
Select “Get my Gifts” in the App and you will see the remaining balance on each Voucher. You can also see the remaining Gift Registry balance available to use for further Voucher creation. You can also check a Voucher’s balance at any time by calling 1-866-345-2318.
How long does it take to get the Voucher once I request it?
Once you have requested a Voucher through the App, it will be available for use within twenty-four (24) hours. Please ensure that you request a Voucher at least one (1) business day in advance of your store visit. Voucher requests made in person in a Borsheims store, may not be fulfilled until the next business day.
What fees will I be charged?
There are no fees associated with using the Voucher.
Do I have to use the voucher for the specific gifts I was gifted?
No, you have the flexibility of using the Voucher for any items in your local Borsheims store. Obviously if you use the value for something not gifted to you, then you will have less value to purchase the gifts which are marked as gifted on your list.
What do I do if I lose my voucher/smartphone or my registry login details are compromised?
Please call 1-866-345-2318 immediately, at any time, if the Voucher details are lost or compromised.
Do Voucher funds expire?
Voucher funds do not expire. Every eighteen (18) months the voucher will automatically be renewed.
Why do I have more than one Voucher?
For regulatory reasons the maximum Voucher value is limited to $2000.00. If your total gifts exceed this value, multiple Vouchers are created when you request a Voucher.
Do I get a plastic Voucher or physical gift card?
No, the Vouchers are electronic only.
Can I exchange my Vouchers for cash instead?
No, Vouchers are not redeemable for cash, unless the balance of the Voucher is less than $5.00.
